"Oh, you noticed," Reji replied, digging a thumbnail into her leg. "I was just in a bit of a bad mood because just about everyone I passed found it excruciatingly nessescary to call me an 'outsider'. But no worries, I wouldn't really slap anyone but perverts. That being said, punching is more my style anyway."

Michael laughed a little bit. The thing about punching was mildly funny. He let out a relaxing, and then crossed his arms on the table and leaned forward on them. "Not much gets by me as far as sight goes. But why would everyone call you an outsider? You don't appear to be any different than any other girl in here. Except that you aren't standing over there screaming your head off."

Reji chuckled quietly as she glanced over at the screaming girls. "I really don't believe all the screaming and girliness is nessescary. I don't want to look like a fool in front of a thousand people." She gave the crowd a severe look, then added, "Besides, doing that won't get you a guy, anyway."

"Hm. I dunno about that." Michael said, staring over at the crowd of girls. "Some guys like girls that worship them as gods. I know I've met some girls and some guys like that. They tend to annoy me." While insecure, getting that much attention would not improve Michael's mood. If anything, it would just irritate him to the point of rage. Still, people who sucked all of that attention up and abused the people who gave it made him jealous, which in turn caused annoyance.

"I for one, am not a screamer." Reji remarked thoughtfully. "I don't even scream when I'm in trouble. That must be why all this boy-worshipping ticks me off." Reji couldn't say anything else as the myriad of female humanoids packed in around their table, moving on to the next guy. Which happened to be Michael. "Who's that?" a blond asked Reji, giggling. Reji inched away from her. "Get away from me."

It took Michael a few moments to notice that a group of girls had gathered around their table. When he did, he looked up and around at each one of them. It was as if their stares were tearing into his very soul. He closed his eyes, but could still feel theirs. He couldn't deny that he desired to be cared about. But he already knew how good he looked, so all these girls were doing was making him nervous.
But he couldn't just tell them to go away. He was a gentleman... most of the time... and that would be rude. So he opened his eyes and stood up from his chair. "If you'll excuse me, Reji, I have to visit the restroom." He smirked at her and gave her a reassuring wink before walking through the crowd of ladies. "Ladies." he said as he gave them a courteous nod.

The girls screamed and giggled, causing Reji's eardrums to pop. "Holy fish sticks-" The girls continued to sit and chat around her. Reji just sat with her head in her arms. Don't they talk about anything but boys and shopping and clothes?! Frankly, the whole thing was making her cranky. She hoped Michael had been able to save himself.

It wasn't easy, but Michael successfully worked his way through the crowd. He entered the bathroom, though he did not really need to use the facilities. He waited within for a few minutes, twidling his thumbs and beating on the wall, after which he poked his head out of the door. "Hey. Hey!" he whispered, catching the attention of a waiter. "Come here for a minute. I need your help." There was no lying. That was awkward coming from a guy in the bathroom. But the waiter obliged nonetheless.
Moments later, the waiter worked his way through the crowd of girls, many of which were still waiting for Michael to return. "Excuse me, miss." said the waiter upon reaching the table at which Reji was seated. He presented her with a piece of paper. "A message from Mr. Michael." His job completed, the waiter walked off.
The message was simple: "We're not going to find any peace in here. Meet me outside. Be discreet."

Reji tucked the paper into her pocket and stood up, almost tripping over the girls. "S'cuse me.." she mumbled, climbing out of the table. One of the girls tugged on her arm. "When's he coming back?" Reji rolled her eyes and jerked away. She was about to tell her to bug off, but thought better of it and spoke very politely and sweetly.
"Oh, why don't you wait till next week?" With that, she walked away, feigning innocence until she reached the door to the terrace outside. With a sigh, she sank down on a bench. "How riveting."

"I know, isn't it?" said a voice. The voice belonged to Michael, who was hiding behind the bench on which Reji was sitting. "Ssh. Come over here." Michael grabbed Reji's hand and began to pull her along with him. They didn't go far, just enough distance to keep them out of the sight range of anyone looking out of the window. "Sorry about all that. I guess eating there is outta the question." he said with a smirk. "Another choice?"

Reji winced. "It wasn't your fault. It was me and my lust for action. Too much action, it turned out." She thought for a moment, suddenly exhausted. "I'm not really sure where to go now. Same thing could happen wherever we go, and it's almost nighttime." Reji vowed never again to enter a restaraunt where there were screaming girls.

Michael smiled gently. "Heh. A lust for action is an admirable trait in my eyes. People who have it won't mind when I suddenly have to leave them to fight some battle somewhere. Sometimes I even get some company." he said. "I understand if you're tired though. It is getting pretty late. Do you have a place to stay for the night?"

"Uh...stay?" Reji considered her response. "Well...being a traveler...I never actually had a real home. I just stay in old houses and stuff, or maybe make a lean-to out of something crude." She looked down, a little embarassed. He would think her a poor street kid now.

At Reji's words, Michael began to laugh. It was as if he had suddenly become very insensitive, but this was not the case. He hadn't realized how much of a traveler she really was. He thought that maybe she had friends in a LOT of places or something. "Ah, so you live the life of a nomad?" He said, still smiling at her. "There's no life quite like it. That's about as free as you can get. Well, you can keep sleeping like that if you want to stay free. Or if you want, I can buy you some lodging here."

"Oh, no, that's okay," Reji said quickly. She did not want to have him spend his money. She smiled. "Besides, you've taken me somewhere, and I haven't shown you anything yet." Reji was sincerely hoping that the place she had in mind was as impressive to him as it was to her. She was NOT going to be the person that takes people to lame places as if they were a buried treasure or something.
