Baralai blinked at the two, a blank expression on his face. With a sigh and a smirk, a rod seemed to appear out of nowhere and ended up in his hand. He moved swiftly, hitting the back of Azul's legs with the rod, but he grabbed her arm, which her hand held the sphere, before she could completely fall to the ground with the risk of injuring herself. With a satisfied smile, he took the sphere and tossed it to Rikku, then helped Azul to stand straight on her feet. "We should get that room ready now, don't you think?" he said, rod still in hand as he walked between them to the entrance of the temple.

Rikku caught the sphere and put it away quickly beginning to go into an insane fit of laughter. Azul now looked like she normally did, with her pink and green attire. Out of instinct she whipped out both of her daggers, aiming them toward him. Her emerald green eyes were narrowed into a glare, ignoring Rikku's hysterical laughter. Rikku quickly stopped laughing when she saw what was going on. Was Azul seriously going to attack him? Azul quickly followed him, now standing in front of him daggers pointed at his neck. "What was that for, hmm? Think you could get away with hitting a girl that easily?" she asked giving him an evil smirk. "You may be the Praetor, but I'm Azul." |

Baralai had stopped when she stepped in front of him and he didn't flinch when she pointed her daggers at his vulnerable throat. He only smirked, then actually laughed. "Well, you have the guts. You may be Azul and I may be the Praetor, but titles and names don't change the fact that we're both just a person, vulnerable and easy to target as any other," he said. Baralai hadn't even used his rod in a defensive attack. Instead, he backed away slightly and stepped around her. "Though if you really want to fight it out, we'll have to make a rain check. I seem to have a lot on my hands lately..."

"Aww what's the matter? Not man enough to fight a girl? Or has being a Yevonite made you soft?" she said in an attempt to push his buttons. She could be very good at that, too. "So is that rod just for show? Or do you actually know how to use it?" Azul crossed her hands, daggers still in hand as she smirked at him. "I always knew Yevonites weren't fighters." she commented with a laugh. Rikku watched curiously wondering what would happen. She hoped Azul wouldn't press him too far, she didn't want to see what was beneath his peaceful persona. Azul circled around him, "I doubt you could win anyways." she accused, smirk widening. "Not that it surprises me..." |

Baralai stopped, his head slightly turned in her direction. His hand had tightened on the rod and his normally nice and calm attitude seemed to disappear completely. A challenging smirk was on his face as he turned around and walked toward her. "You know, you're cute, but your attitude isn't. Have you tried to get that fixed?" he said, moving quickly as he finished. Holding the rod by the middle, he had made an efficient uppercut with the rod, knocking both of her daggers out of her hand. Baralai also moved quickly behind her and swung at her legs again. His free arm had gone around her, catching her in mid-fall, but the action brought them both into close proximity of each other. Baralai looked down at her, then smirked. "Most Yevonites aren't as bad as you think. Whatever you were told, I suggest you let them go and learn about us first in person before jumping to conclusions and telling false information. Yes, we used to be selfish and liars, but that was then. This is now." He moved away from her, picking her daggers up from the ground and tossing them to her before stepping over to the temple entrance and waiting there for them both.

Azul's face flushed slightly red, but just barely so that it was hardly noticeable. She caught her daggers swift-fully and smirked at him. "You may be handsome, but you're perverted." she told him in response to his 'cute' comment. "And why would I ever want my attitude fixed, I like it just fine." Azul finally put her daggers away seeing as there wasn't really a reason to fight. "Hmm whatever you say. But you know, it's very inappropriate for you to touch a girl in public." she commented. Rikku was watching in amusement as the two talked, so Azul thought he was handsome? Now she had blackmail, too. They both walked over to him, Azul still smirking and Rikku still looking amused. "Oooo you like the Praetor'" Rikku whispered teasingly to her sister giving her a gentle nudge. Azul just laughed, "I could never like a Yevonite" she whispered back. |

"Well, let's think about this... Touching a girl in public is like putting down a Yevonite in their home is uncalled for," he said, almost as if he was musing aloud. The then turned a smirk her way. "So I guess we're even.." His chocolate brown gaze then swept behind the two girls, a brow raised. Well well.. speaking of perverts... "And I think you're talking about the wrong person there. Calling someone cute isn't so perverted." Baralai nodded his head in their direction, indicating they should look behind them. But before they could, a slight laugh sounded. "Well, if it isn't Cid's girl."

Azul shrugged, "Ok we're even then." she told him still smirking. She noticed Rikku cringe and tilted her head with curiosity. Her gaze went to the source of the voice, a tall guy with spiky blonde hair with an eye-patch over his right eye. Rikku had already gone to hide behind Baralai and Azul, trying to avoid the egotistical Al Bhed. Azul still looked confused, "who's that?" she whispered to Baralai who was closest to her. She didn't bother asking Rikku who seemed to want to be invisible. she looked away from him and back to Baralai, "Oh then what do you consider to be perverted then? hmm Mr. High and Mighty?" |

"Perverted? Well, Azul, you're looking at him. The one and only Gippal of the Machine Faction," he said. He leaned closer to Azul, speaking quietly so Gippal and Rikku both wouldn't hear. "But don't take a lot of flatter he says to heart. He still likes Rikku more than he lets on."
Gippal laughed and stepped forward, then did a double take on the two girls. "Whoa.. am I seein' double or are you two supposed to be different people?" he asked with a grin. He shrugged and laughed again. "Hey, the more Cid's girl, the merrier, right?" He then walked up to Azul, getting face to face with her and inspecting her. "Well.. definitely has more color than she does and her hair is the same too... You're either a fan of Cid's girl or you're really related to her.."

Rikku was still listening and laughed pushing Azul foreward which made Azul cringe. "You can have her, Gippal. she's the better twin, honestly." she said with a smirk. Azul blinked, cringing even more. Rikku pushed her even closer to him, holding back laughter. Azul thought for a moment, "Leave me alone, I'm not a boyfriend stealer!" she exclaimed moving away and pushing Rikku right into him. "That would be breaking the Sister Code and Girl Code." Rikku's face had instantly turned red and she froze unable to move. Azul just smirked and went back to talking to Baralai leaving Rikku to be embarrassed. "Oh so that's the dude hmm? Heh, this'll be funny." she told her glancing back at the two. "So Rikku likes a pervert and a pervert likes Rikku....thats hilarious." |

"Now, now. There's no need to fight, really. There's plenty of me to go around!" he said, clapping a hand on Rikku's shoulder. "And since when did you consider me a boyfriend again? And here I was always thinking you hated me." He gave her a charming grin, but it was corrupted with laughter at her face. "I'm just kidding, Cid's girl. Geeze, get a hold of yourself."
Baralai laughed. "Yeah, I'd say they're a great match. Back then, they seemed like two totally different people when they were together. But.. now they always fued when they see each other like a cat and a rat," he said, still looking at them with a grin. "I bet you would have had a lot of fun teasing her if you were with the whole group back then. It was something.."

"You big meanie!" Rikku exclaimed finally gaining her composure and managing a fake glare. "You....you big egotistical, jerk." No matter how hard she tried she couldn't sound mad. "When will you ever learn that nobody wants you, Gippal? Nobody. You only think they want you to dismiss the idea that they really don't want you." She smirked at him, "Oh but what am I saying?" she said deciding to tease him a bit, "I must have hit my head on that shiny armor of yours. Of course I want you Gippal. I want to be with you every second of your life." She put her hand on her head dramatically, "Oh, but fate keeps us apart. such a shame." Rikku broke into laughter at the end, unable to continue with her act.
Azul watched with a smirk, she had to admit her sister could act fairly well. "Yeah I bet I would have had a lot of fun, it's always fun teasing Rikku." she said to him holding back a laugh. "And you're right, they do make a great couple. Maybe they can rekindle that little flame they used to have, eh?" |

Baralai leaned against the stone entrance, arms crossed loosely. "Yeah, maybe with a little push and a few ideas planted in their minds or something, it might work..." he said, musing it over. It would actually be a lot of fun if they could get Rikku and Gippal back together. That would mean more fun and even more teasing for them. But I don't have time in my schedule for all of this... I have things to do and a mystery to find out and a lot more to do as Praetor...
Gippal rose a brow at Rikku, a you-are-one-crazy-girl look on his face. "Oh, Cid's girl, you know that really hurt. I think it hurts right here.." he said, placing a hand over his heart. "Or better yet, right here. You think you can fix it?" Gippal pointed to his cheek, a smirk on his face, daring her to do it though he knew she might freak out. If she really did do it, then she really must have bumped her head on something too hard...

Azul nodded with a grin, "Operation Matchmaker is under way..." she whispered to him with a soft laugh. "Matchmaker Azul at your service." She had to cover her mouth with her hand to hold back even more laughter. The poor girl couldn't help it as she watched the two of them, wondering what Rikku would do.
Rikku raised an eyebrow, too, after stopping her laughter fit. "Aww...does poor Gippy have a boo-boo?" she said teasingly. She reached up and planted a kiss on his cheek without cringing or anything. The blonde just smirked as wide as can be waiting for his reaction, she was sure he wasn't expecting that. [/size] |

It took Gippal a few minutes to actually do anything. Talk about late reaction. He began to spaz and he leaped away, arms up for protection. "What in Spira was that about, Cid's girl!? Have you really lost your marbles? Baralai, I think we seriously need one of those top notch doctors of yours to come down here and take a look at her. Maybe she's suffering from a concussion or a fatal fever!" he exclaimed. But he had to admit, he pretty much enjoyed it. It even seemed as if she really meant it.
Baralai, broken from thoughts, laughed at both Azul's comment and Gippal's outburst. "I doubt my doctors could even cure a simple sign of.. affection. Have you ever considered that she might actually have meant that she cared?" he asked, venturing to go that far. Maybe if something else happened, he could go farther, but he would just leave it simply at that.
