Guadosalam.
It was a nice little place. Full of different people, Guados and humans, maybe even a Ronso here and there. But it was still a nice place to rest before continuing on to the Thunder Plains. Though, there was only one problem; Jeph didn't like thunder, at all. It scared the crap out of him and he wouldn't go near the sound to save his life. Which, of course, was a problem if he wanted to eventually get to the Calm Lands. Plus, it didn't help that the male had no airship of any sort to travel in. Hell, that would make things just down-right easy!
But nope. Jeph only had his own two feet to go by. His destination was always too far away;
'One more step.'
'One more mile to go.'
'If only I can reach that rock, I'll take a break.'
But that step was always meant to be a little bit wider. That mile a little bit longer. And that rock just seemed to be a mirage every time, seeming to get farther and farther away, even though, in reality, Jeph was moving closer to it. Though, as if it were some kind of miracle, the Songstress, yes, Songstress, made it to the city with the dim-glowing lights, home of the Farplane. He would gladly visit it, but sadly, he had no dead loved ones that he knew about. Jeph grew up alone. But he wasn't sad about it. He didn't let it get him down. It was just one of those things that were in the back of your mind at all times that you didn't really pay attention to.
Sitting down on the edge of the pathway, Jeph let out a small, tired sigh. Sure, he was tired. He had been walking for almost three days straight now, at his slow, shuffling pace. It was actually quite amazing that he got anywhere at all. But here he was, in Guadosalam. Boy, did he look out of place; most people had cool outfits that went with their dresspheres, but he didn't. His was kind of bland. Just a pair of tattered jeans with several holes in them, covered up by fishnet patches and his shirt was slightly torn here and there as well. But instead of those holes being patched up, he just wore a long-sleeved fishnet shirt under his t-shirt.
Jeph's hair was messy, like it always was, of course. And it fell into his eyes a bit as he looked down at his hands, going through all sorts of thoughts in his mind.

A young girl walked around the city of the Guados, Guadosalam. She had been traveling for some time now, but traveling was one of her favorite hobbies. Sure, she would get tired, but that was a sign for her to take a break. However, she wasn't tired at the moment and had decided to take a look around the shops they many other travelers visited as well. She stocked up on a few necessities, likes potions and other things she might need while going from place to place. Yet even when she did but the supplies, she rarely used them. Melody, as she was called, would use her magic to aid herself if need be. The potions were just a a last resort in case something went wrong with her magic.
She was a petite girl that stood at a medium height, not too short and not too tall. Her brunette colored hair went slightly below her shoulders and her somewhat long bangs covered her right eye. Thick black eyeliner surrounded her stormy gray eyes, but she liked how it looked and wore it like that a lot. Her attire consisted of a black and white dress that had a thick black ribbon going around her waist, tied into a bow. On her feet she wore regular black shoes; nothing special. Melody's skin was a pale color and her nails were painted a deep red. She even had on white sweater that only went down a bit below her shoulders as well, about half of what a regular sweater would go down to.
Melody emitted a sigh of boredom for she was a social creature, always wanting to talk to someone--stranger or not. She would just go up to people and start a conversation, it's just how she was. The girl was too nice for her own good, but she'd never let anyone take advantage of her. Her gray scanned scanned around, people were walking from place to place going whenever they were going. Finally her eyes fell upon a young man, who looked about her age, but probably older. He seemed to be lost in thought and she tilted her head curiously, debating on whether to speak to him or mind her own business. Her outgoing side won and she walked over to him, standing there were her hands folded behind her back. "Hello," she said kindly with one of her soft smiles.

((Sorry that it took so long to reply. Exams are coming up and review has been brutal.))
Jeph would always find something to occupy his mind. A loose thread on his jeans. A tiny piece of grass that he would tear into even smaller little pieces, then watching as they fluttered off into the wind. Or even just looking around at the people around him, even though he would never really come up with the courage to talk to them, not matter how much he wanted to. Jeph travelled alone, able to, somehow, defeat any enemies that came his way with a mix of his vocals, dancing, and a few physical hits with his microphone here and there.
The boy was quite enchanting with those slender hips of his, especially when they got moving to a silent beat.
Looking around, the young man noticed that over the short ammount of time, the small city had gotten just a tiny bit more busy than it usually was. Perhaps there was a group of people in town of some importance, or maybe there was something happening with Leblanc. Who could ever know with that woman? She was as unpredictable as the tides. No clue as to where that metaphor came from, but that's not the point, right?
Right.
The point was the young woman that had just spoken to him. Turning his head, Jeph noticed that she was attractive in her physical appearance. Hell, her voice was beautiful enough. The mage, as it seemed by her outfit, probably had an enchanting name to go with the eyes that rage a gentle storm in the grey that looked down upon him.
A smile grazed his lips has Jeph nodded to her, and he returned her greeting, "Hello to you too, Miss." The girl looked innocent and young, perhaps around his own age, and it made him silently wonder if and why she was travelling alone. But then again, if he asked, she could turn the question right back on him and honestly, he had no clue what the answer was. So he didn't bother asking. Instead, he just slipped in what his name was, "I'm Jeph."

Ooc- No problem at all. Same here, stupid finals coming up before the end of school.
"My name is Melody," she replied her voice somewhat quiet, that's how it usually was. She could be loud though if she really wanted to be, but that was on rare occasions. Her gray gaze scanned over him, taking in his appearance. Melody wasn't exactly sure what he was by his outfit, but noting his microphone she guessed that he was a Songstress. She tilted her head to the side, "Do you sing?" she asked curiously still standing there with a smile. Melody liked asking questions and sometimes it could get very annoying. It was one of the main reasons she traveled, she wanted to see the World and know everything about it. She could never stay in one place too long, it would just get boring and she leaved before it did.
The girl was curious about everything it seemed. Wanting to know how everything worked and why things happened, etc... She had been to Bikanel Island many times, watching as the Al Bhed fiddled with Machina. Same with Djose, the Machine Faction was always fun to watch, she had learned a lot as well. Melody told herself that one day she would be able to do that, that one day she would do more then everyone in Spira. She wanted to be able to do everything and exceed at it as well, it was one of her dreams.
Melody did dream a lot and would even space out in the middle of a conversation thinking about things that no one else would. Yet, she dreams kept her alive...truely alive. Sure you could be living...but not really living. You need dreams so you have something to work for, something to challenge yourself with. She liked challenge, in her opinion challenge helped your mind grow. As Melody waited for his response she entertained herself by forming tiny ice crystals in her hand, then crushing them into dust and blowing them away watching as they fell; sparkling.
She had found him quite attractive as well and his voice was definitely that of a Songstress'. Melody particularly liked his hair, she always did seem to have a thing for hair. Of course she had seemed many attractive guys before, but they always seemed to have attitude one like 'I know I'm cool'. It bothered her and she didn't understand why people had to be so conceited. However, he seemed different from the others she had met. He didn't act like he had that kind of attitude, but he seemed respectful and kind. Melody was glad in knowing that not every guy was rude. One things for sure, it was hard to come by one like that.

"That's a lovely name that you have, Miss Melody," Jeph said after the young woman had introduced herself after him. He loved hearing people's names, especially female names, seeing as they were almost always better and more unique than male ones. Maybe it was because everything with that feminine touch was a bit more beautiful. It was just strange like that, but Jeph wasn't complaining at all. He was talking to a lovely young woman with an equally lovely name. And she was a bit quiet, he noticed. She was probably either shy, or just a naturally quiet person around people. Melody could be one of those people that seemed quiet, but once you get to know them well, you find out that they are in fact, very loud.
But Jeph didn't really mind. Melody was Melody and he didn't want to change that. It would be like trying to turn a nickle into a dime; it could be done, but it's just not the same thing in the end. Not authentic.
Her movements, he noticed while watching her, were smooth and had a certain innocence to them. Jeph couldn't help but get the feeling that she had never felt the erotic touch of a man, but even though those were the thoughts running through his head, they weren't perverted. Jeph just wasn't like that. For some reason, his mind was completely like that of a true male's; he didn't get as many of those 'urges' and he also didn't have as many dirty thoughts, for sure. And for a short period in his life, the Songstress even thought that he might have been asexual. Hey, it's possible; he once had a friend like that.
Answering Melody's question with a nod, Jeph spoke, "I do sing. You're right about that." He could also tell, by the way she acted, that this young woman was a bit curious of everything around her. Those grey eyes were wide and shrouded in mystery, searching out the unknown. It was actually quite hypnotizing to look right into her eyes. He was afraid that he would get lost and end up staring at her for several minutes, maybe even all day if nothing stopped him. There was so much that people could learn about others by just gazing into their eyes; pools of information, beckoning for you to drink from them and learn the secrets that they hold in the crisp water. And Jeph felt a need to quench his thirst.
Taking his eyes off of her's, Jeph then noticed that she had been making little ice-cicles, crushing them, then scattering them across the light breeze that always seemed to be brushing past. It was very light, but enough to let you know that it was there. And it was also quite refreshing on a hot summer day. The scene before him was beautiful; the way the little ice crystals sparkled in the light made it look like she was blowing diamonds in the air. She was definately a mage.
